Concept

This collection is about connecting. Its about being vulnerable, open and honest. It’s about illustrating my personal interaction with the universe in the rawest, most primal form possible. The art is also produced with the purpose of exploring deeper and more meaningful connection with its audience. Finally, there is a certain level of testing the application of a new business model.
Meditation as source, and as subject
I conceptualize my works mostly through deep meditation. In this state of complete calm, the ideas flow through ever so precisely and intelligently. My deep faith in intuition allows me to avoid having to worry about the value or pertinence of the ideas expressed in the work. This collection is an illustration of the journey through meditation, and my own journey through spirituality.
Calm, trust, power, amazement, this is what I feel like in meditation. I brought some of these emotions through in these new works. Sharing my experience with the amazing flow of primal energy. The works were also submitted to very specific sound vibration sessions. The sacred vibrations, known as Hemi-Sync (see previous post) facilitate deep meditation and an easier access into the divine realm of the Universe.
Showcasing the interaction of a human, within an urban social system, with the divine, clear of any reference to any religion.
This installation made of an aluminum panel framed with a mitered black walnut illustrates the concept of "radiating the light". The outpouring of this divine energy commonly felt through yoga and meditation. Other works illustrate receiving and sharing. It is my deepest feeling that this connection is becoming more and more in demand in our society.
The Mudra, meaning position of the fingers, is referred to as "Viktara". More on this in a future post.

The graffiti in the work represent a very raw human presence within the modern urban environment. The words are there, although very hard to read. The presence of graffiti tags holds a second metaphoric nature in the sense that the graffiti is a way for humans within a urban social setting to share their thoughts / art first hand. I tagged on the panels my deepest feelings at the time of producing the art, vulnerable, open and honest.
The effect of a heartfelt and honest word drastically affects the subject on which it is written on a quantum level. Many scientists have been playing with this concept. Most notably there is Dr. Emoto Masaru of Japan, who found that writing the word love on a glass of water physically changed the molecular structure of the water into a perfect geometric shape.
